Travis Kelce, tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, says his team could face some chaos when the 2025 NFL season starts. On Friday, September 5, the Chiefs will open against the Los Angeles Chargers at Arena Corinthians in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Kelce revealed on his “New Heights” podcast that the stadium is about two hours away from the team hotel, calling it a “college football-type” trip. Patrick Mahomes later joked he had to explain “how the globe works” to his teammate.

Travis Kelce said the team will travel two hours by bus on game day in São Paulo, which reminded him of college football. “That’ll be a unique experience,” he told listeners, adding that the squad just has to “play the hand” they were dealt.
Kelce admitted he was surprised by how long the flight was from Kansas City to Brazil. Earlier, he had also joked about the heat and humidity. Still, he quickly added that he is excited to play in front of new fans, calling international games “a blast” because of how different crowds react.The Chiefs have dominated the Chargers recently, winning eight of their last ten meetings, including seven in a row. Last season, the two games were close, ending 17-10 and 19-17 in Kansas City’s favor.
