Shannon Sharpe’s name might just be forever attached to the scandalous lawsuit that he found himself in earlier this year. A 20 year old former model had accused the NFL legend of sexually assaulting her multiple times in the last two years after the two met at a gym in 2022. While Shannon Sharpe had to pay a whopping sum to settle the lawsuit, his legal team had released many texts to prove his innocence. These texts painted a whole different picture of the relationship Shannon Sharpe had with the young woman.

In April 2025, after Shannon Sharpe was sued for a whopping $50 million by the 20 year old former model, his team leaked a series of texts between the two.



The texts date back to March 2023, where the 20 year old former model had texted, “Tie me up like this & f–k me,” to which he replied, “IF* I knew how to I would.”

The 20 year old former model replied, “It’s ok I have handcuffs…we can stick to those for now. … I want to be in that position right now.”

In another set of texts, the 20 year old former model wrote, “I guess I’m just gonna have to f–k myself in the ass w/ my dildo then.”

While another text showed that she wrote, “I wanna be abused daddy.”

Shannon Sharpe had constantly denied any claims of assault and has continuously reiterated that everything was “consensual”.

These texts were also leaked by Shannon Sharpe’s legal team to prove that the two were in a “consensual” relationship with one another.

However, things turned heavily against Shannon Sharpe as fans brutally mocked the NFL legend for having a sexual relationship with a woman younger than his three children.

What is Shannon Sharpe up to now?

At the end, a few weeks ago, Shannon Sharpe ended up paying a whopping $20 million for the lawsuit that was filed against him in April 2025.

Despite settling the lawsuit, he was fired from ESPN and this had shocked fans.

Even though Shannon Sharpe continues to get trolled, he has never admitted of any alleged assault and has maintained that it was a consensual relationship.
