Bill Belichick criticized the Eagles for their poor form in the NFL, but noted that they have a talented group of players who can improve after a bye week. He also mentioned that A.J. Brown, Devonta Smith, and Lane Johnson are likely to return to form by their next game."I think the bye week probably is a good time for these guys. Philly, maybe have a chance to get these receivers back and kind of and Lane Johnson, and get some of their key players back on offense, but it's a challenge. They've lost 10 of the last 13 games," Belichick said as per First Things First and H/T Sportskeeda.
He continued, "So, when you sit there and say, well, they're one of the best teams in the league, I don't know, being 3-10, that's kind of a stretch if you look at what's happened recently.”
The Eagles, despite a 2-2 start to the season, are still the favorites to win the NFC East, and their personnel are capable of going on a winning streak after their bye week.Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has not been performing well, but his turnovers have been a major issue this season, with four interceptions and five fumbles. However, he has the chance to recover after the bye week due to favorable fixtures.Following are Eagles next seven games against these teams,Week 6: vs Cleveland BrownsWeek 7: @ New York GiantsWeek 8: @ Cincinnati BengalsWeek 9: vs Jacksonville JaguarsWeek 10: @ Dallas CowboysWeek 11: vs Washington CommandersThe Eagles, excluding the Washington Commanders, have not had an ideal start to the season. If healthy, they can win five of their next six games, including a win against the Cowboys. However, they need to work on several aspects, including coach Sirianni and quarterback Josh Hurts, to make tough decisions. Hurts, who signed a five-year $255 million contract, has not played like he did before, and the team is unlikely to move him. Also Read: “That's on me”: The New York Jets’ Aaron Rodgers blames himself for the team's loss against Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos
