"They're the bully”: Peyton Manning deems Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs as the ultimate bully in the NFL

Modern-day NFL legend Patrick Mahomes has 17 playoff wins, one more than Joe Montana's 16, and has a postseason passer rating of 105.8. With 5,557 yards, 43 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions in 20 games, he is one of the most clutch players in NFL history. Former Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning recently called Mahomes and the Chiefs the NFL's bully.

Peyton Manning calls the Chiefs the bullies of the NFL

It's Peyton Manning, a legendary figure, who stands in awe of what makes Patrick Mahomes special. "I'm not sure anybody can speak about Patrick, about what it is except him because it is unique. It is different," Manning said on the Pat McAfee Show. "I think he could beat you in so many different ways.”


Patrick Mahomes is a skilled magician who can transform chaos into brilliance through various techniques, including throwing from the pocket and making magic on the run. Manning added, "He throws the ball on the run as well as anybody in the league, and he just doesn't really sweat out there. I think he likes creating a little drama, knowing he's gonna lead you down for a 2-minute drill."

Peyton Manning deems the Kansas City Chiefs, under Mahomes, as the ultimate "bully" in the NFL. "Their team never flinches because they're like, 'Hey, we've been here before. We can come back,'" Manning explained. "They're the bully, and they've earned it." It's a reputation built on resilience and an uncanny ability to rise to the occasion.

Manning's career was a marathon, with 71,940 yards and 539 touchdowns over 266 games. In 112 games, Mahomes threw for 32,352 yards and 245 touchdowns, with a 102.1 regular-season passer rating and a 105.8 in the playoffs. Mahomes is sprinting toward the Hall of Fame.

Mahomes, with two MVP awards, three Super Bowl rings, and multiple honors, is not only following in Manning's footsteps but also establishing his own legacy. As Manning said, "Until somebody punches the bully in the mouth, they're gonna keep bullying you."


Peyton Manning himself owns a lot of records in the NFL, such as most MVPs won, QB first-team All-Pro picks, 4,000 passing yard seasons, single-season passing yards, and single-season passing touchdowns. And finally, he is placed as the third in passing yards and passing touchdowns in the whole career. Manning has led the Colts and the Broncos to two Super Bowls each.

He is the only quarterback to reach the Super Bowl with multiple franchises with multiple starts for each. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2017 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021.
