Allstate Sugar Bowl college football game rescheduled from yesterday to today in New Orleans Caesars Superdome as an attack resulting in at least 10 deaths has caused it to be delayed. The game at the Superdome has been postponed as two improvised explosive devices were discovered at the site of an attack in the French Quarter district, and investigators are conducting a grid search to check if other devices were planted.

The NFL and the local host committee have been working collaboratively with local, state and federal agencies the past two years and have developed comprehensive security plans. These planning sessions will continue as they do with all major NFL events and we are confident attendees will have a safe and enjoyable Super Bowl experience,” the league wrote in a statement.
Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry expressed confidence in ensuring safety during significant events in New Orleans. "Every facility in this city will be safer today than it was yesterday," he said. "As we come to additional events in this city ... this city will have the resources necessary to protect our citizens and our guests.”
The Superdome security sweeps had been planned for the Sugar Bowl that had been decided to be held off for 24 hours. At 3:15 a.m. CT, in New Orleans, there was a truck attack near the Superdome. The driver was shot dead while he involved his truck in a firefight with police. This has caused masses to worry.
The FBI is considering the incident as an act of terror. "He was hell-bent on creating the carnage and the damage that he did," said New Orleans police commissioner Anne Kirkpatrick. "It was very intentional behavior. This man was trying to run over as many people as he could.”
