“That took me down psychologically”: Taylor Swift once recalled leaving the country over Kanye West–Kim Kardashian drama as new controversy begins

A few days ago, Taylor Swift found herself mentioned in Kanye West’s sexually explicit posts on X. Not only did the famous rapper accuse Taylor Swift of being “racist”, but he also implied a desire to have s*x with her. But this is not the first time it happened; Kanye West has spoken about having s*x with her even back in 2016, and what followed after, made Taylor Swift leave the country.


Two years ago, in 2023, Taylor Swift sat for an exclusive interview with TIME where she recalled the harrowing things she went through when, in 2016, Kanye West’s ex wife, Kim Kardashian, released an edited footage of a phone call between the pop star and the rapper.
As per TIME, Taylor Swift said, “You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited...That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before.”
The billionaire pop star added, “I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls....I went down really, really hard.”
In 2016, Kanye West’s hit song Famous had a few lyrics related to Taylor Swift. The lyrics were, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have s*x. Why? I made that b*tch famous (God damn) I made that b*tch famous”.
Taylor Swift has claimed that she was unaware that Kanye West was calling her a “b*tch” in his new track. The footage of the phone call between the two which was released by Kim Kardashian was heavily edited, as found by Taylor’s fans later. In reality, Kanye West never told Taylor Swift that he was calling her a “b*tch” in his song but claimed that she had consented to it.
When the edited footage of the phone call was released by socialite Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift was heavily called out and criticised by Kanye West’s fans.


While things were mostly calm between Taylor Swift and Kanye West in the last nine years, the rapper has again gotten the pop star involved in a controversy with his scandulous posts about her which he later deleted.
Taylor Swift’s fans have fully supported her and Kanye West is being heavily called out. As per Daily Mail, Travis Kelce also wants to confront the rapper but neither of the celebrities have addressed the situation in public yet.
At the moment, the pop sensation is spending quality time with her NFL star boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
