Talent and Sports Agency CAA is Parting Ways With Haason Reddick Amid Ongoing Holdout From Jets

Haason Reddick's agents at Creative Artists Agency have parted ways due to a contract holdout dating back to training camp. CAA had been trying to negotiate an extension with the Jets, but Reddick has been unable to agree, leading to a break-up over "philosophical differences." This is surprising given the poor performance of Reddick in the Jets' uniform over the past few months.

Haason Reddick's agency, CAA, is parting ways with him

Haason Reddick's 2024 NFL season has not gone as planned, with his agency, CAA, reportedly ending their relationship with him as he continues to be unattached from the New York Jets. Reddick, a 30-year-old edge rusher signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in March 2022, had two excellent seasons, racking up 27 sacks and being named second-team All-Pro in 2022. However, the Eagles traded Reddick to the Jets in April for a conditional third-round pick, despite his desire for a new contract.

NFL player Reddick has accumulated millions in fines due to his ongoing holdout and contract dispute. The agency dropped their client, Jets owner Woody Johnson, two days after urging Reddick to end his holdout and report to the team. The dispute is not nearing a resolution. "When [Reddick] gets here, he’ll find a very welcome locker room, and he’ll be able to fit right in, but he’s gotta get here first,” Johnson said on Tuesday. “So, Haason, get in your car, drive down 95, and come to the New York Jets. We can meet you and give you an escort right into the building, and you'll fit right in, and you'll love it here, and you’re gonna feel welcome, and you’re gonna accomplish great things with us.”

Reddick began his holdout in June due to not reporting the Jets' mandatory minicamp, which NFL Insider Connor Hughes claimed was a player's decision. In mid-September, Hughes reported conversations between Jets general manager Joe Douglas and Reddick's agent Tory Dandy, but nothing really happened from those talks.
