Keyshawn Johnson solves the quarterback puzzle of the Cleveland Browns. Four quarterbacks are fighting for the first/starting quarterback position. One of the former wide receivers of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers explains how the 2025 NFL Draft’s fifth round 144th pick, Shedeur Sanders, would stand out from the other three in competition and emerge as the first or starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. His explanation is so sleek and perfect and lands in exact spots on the quarterback puzzle! Hear him out.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ ex-WR Keyshawn Johnson firmly believes Shedeur Sanders will become the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, just doesn’t know when
“Shedeur Sanders said in a recent interview, Everybody’s cool. Outside the room, people are trying to pit us against each other, but inside the room, we know we are one! Well, only one of them can win the starting position, so are you confident that that will be Shedeur(Sanders)?” asks American Media Personality Joy Taylor at the SPEAK show on FOX Sports 1 on May 23.
Keyshawn Johnson replies,
“You know, the crazy thing is that I’m confident it’s going to be Shedeur(Sanders). I don’t know when, though. I don’t know if it’s at the start of the season or three, four, five games into the season. But before they get to the midseason mark, he’s going to be the starting quarterback and taking the reps.”Former NFL Analyst for ESPN Keyshawn Johnson says the first quarterback on the roster gets the first repetitions
The former wide receiver says,
“The way things go when you acquire quarterbacks, in particularly any position - that guy who’s in first, who’s on the team, on the roster first when they acquire him, usually gets the first reps of the opportunity. Then the second guy gets it, the third guy gets it, the fourth guy gets it. So what I’m saying by this is - Kenny Pickett was acquired before Dillon Gabriel, before (Joe)Flacco, even though Flacco was there a year ago, but they brought him back, but Kenny Pickett was already there, whatever, a couple of weeks before.” 3-time Pro Bowler Keyshawn Johnson says Cleveland Browns QB Dillon Gabriel won’t be practicing one day because it’ll be Browns QB Kenny Pickett’s turn
Paul Warfield Trophy awardee further explains,
“Then, you bring in Dillon Gabriel based on draft status, then you bring in Flacco, then you bring in Shedeur - who was the last guy being drafted out of those guys in the fifth round. They’ll all split reps in training camp. They’ll get an equal amount of reps, and then we’ll start to notice those reps are dying from somebody. It’ll either be - Joe Flacco will be sitting over there with the coaches laughing while Shedeur(Sanders) is battling it out with the other guys. We’ll look up, and Dillon Gabriel won’t be practicing one day because it’ll be Kenny Pickett’s turn.”Pop Warner Trophy recipient Keyshawn Johnson says Shedeur Sanders will win over the veteran plays and the young players and come out on top
NFL Receiving Yards Leader declares,
“And that’s how he(Shedeur Sanders)’ll win the veteran players over. That’s how he’ll win some of the younger guys over and the coaching staff by performing when the opportunity presents itself when he’s with the ones and the twos. And that’s how they’ll grade him. But I think he’ll come out on top.” Also Read: “I don’t want to hear sh*t about Ryan Clark being fired”: NBA Analyst Stephen A.
