Although several have bashed Swift for her appearance in games, celebrities such as Chiefs owner Clark Hunt and Patrick Mahomes praise her inclusion, stating that her presence in the league has been a good influence in an interview with PEOPLE.
"Yo, she's been amazing for football," Ramos said. "Ever since they started dating, didn't the ratings go up — as far as the games that they're playing — significantly? Well, not significantly, but they went up as people were watching the game just to see that cut to Taylor at the game.”
Ramos' statement came during a Jets vs Patriots watch party organized by The Athletic on Thursday. NFL insider Dianna Russini, who was also present alongside the actor, agreed with his statement. Adding to Ramos' take, Russini said, "You know, you're getting a different demographic, too, right? You're getting Taylor Swift fans, which are traditionally young girls who are now saying, I want to watch the football [game] because I get to see Taylor up in the suite supporting her boyfriend.”
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's romance has boosted the Kansas City Chiefs' fanbase by 30%, with team owner Clark Hunt praising Swift's contribution to the league. Her fans are incredibly loyal, and they’ve brought that energy to supporting the Chiefs,” Hunt said via Bloomberg.
Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes has also defended Swift against criticism from fans, despite claims that Swift is a distraction for the team.
