Shedeur Sanders, the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback, is prepping himself for the NFL 2025 draft scheduled in the last week of April 2025. The word is out that he’s going to be an overall No. 1 pick!
Just to elaborate further on his preparation, techniques, and other intricacies, Shedeur Sanders gave an interview at the East-West Shrine Bowl. He was present there to cheer on his brother, Shilo Sanders. NFL Network reporter Jane Slater interviewed Shedeur and let us in on some secrets of Shedeur!
“He has separation anxiety,” says Shedeur Sanders about his Super Bowl champion father, Deion Sanders
To the unversed, Shedeur wants to be with the Titans. It’s his favorite team for the NFL 2025 draft!
Shedeur Sanders was at a meeting with the Tennessee Titans when his father, Coach Prime, constantly called him. So, he shared about this incident in the interview with Jane Slater. He said, “The thing was, my dad was calling me. That was the funniest thing. You know, he has separation anxiety. So yeah, he kept calling me. I said, ‘Pops, it’s over with. It’s time for me to stand on my own now.’”
“He instilled hard work in us,” discloses Shedeur Sanders about his 8-time Pro Bowler father, Deion Sanders
Jane Slater quizzed Deacon Jones Trophy winner Shedeur Sanders about what people would not know about him.
Shedeur replied, “I’m a really humble guy. I’m a team player. I just love football. I did everything I wanted to do and can do in life, just by how Pops helped us grow up and everything. He instilled hard work in us. He made us work for everything, and now I’m just thankful to be out there grinding, playing each and every week, doing something I love.”
“I didn’t know your parents wanting the best for you is a problem,” slams Shedeur Sanders on all those people drawing scrutiny for his father, Coach Prime’s influence in his life
All through Shedeur’s life, Coach Prime has coached Shedeur. After the NFL 2025 draft, it would be the first time Shedeur would be coached by someone else other than his father. Critics have often tagged him as ‘Daddy Ball’.
At the East-West Shrine Bowl, Shedeur Sanders was asked by another reporter about his father’s influence on his life. He defended his NFL legend father by saying, “I didn’t know your parents being involved and wanting the best for you is a problem. He made sure we understand, ‘we have a nice house, but this is all my stuff. This isn’t your stuff.’”
