Shannon Sharpe’s payout in sexual assault lawsuit with model was reportedly far less than $50 million

Shannon Sharpe, the NFL legend, had a pretty shocking start to the year as he found himself involved in a huge legal scandal with a 20 year old model. The NFL legend was sued for a whopping $50 million by the 20 year old woman as she accused him of sexually assaulting her multiple times in the last few years. Now, it has been revealed how much Shannon Sharpe ended up paying the woman.

As per AllHipHop, a source has revealed that Shannon Sharpe did not really have to pay $50 million to the woman.



Instead, the NFL legend paid a whopping $23 million to the 20 year old model.

However, neither Shannon Sharpe nor his attorneys have confirmed the payment, nor have they issued a statement about reaching a settlement with the woman.

The woman has kept her identity hidden and has accused Shannon Sharpe of sexually assaulting her multiple times. Apparently, the two had met at a gym in 2022.

The claims of sexual assault has been strongly denied by Shannon Sharpe as he continues to maintain that the intimacy was “mutual”.

However, Shannon Sharpe has been heavily called out by his fans as many feel the age gap is a bit too much even if the intimacy was “mutual”.

At this point, Shannon Sharpe’s children are much younger than his accuser, a 20 year old woman. For the unversed, Shannon Sharpe has never been married to anyone and all his children have been born out of wedlock with his ex girlfriends.

According to People, Tony Buzbee, the lawyer of the 20-year-old woman who was an model, has issued a statement about the settlement, even though he has not spoken about the payment amount.

Tony Buzbee said, “Both sides acknowledge a long-term consensual and tumultuous relationship…After protracted and respectful negotiations, I’m pleased to announce that we have reached a mutually agreed upon resolution.”

Tony Buzbee added, “All matters have now been addressed satisfactorily, and the matter is closed. The lawsuit will thus be dismissed with prejudice.”

Shannon Sharpe continues to work on his podcasts and has not spoken about the settlement at all, even though he has now been fired from ESPN a few days ago.
