Saints looking to part ways with this $13 Million star

According to Sportskeeda’s Tony Pauline, the Saints are strongly considering releasing the veteran safety, who has one year left on his contract.
"Finally, I'm told that the Saints are considering releasing 32-year-old safety Tyrann Mathieu, who has one year left on his deal with the club," Pauline reported.
Mathieu, a New Orleans native, signed a two-year, $13.75 million deal with the Saints after spending three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs and one year with the Houston Texans. Over the past seven seasons, he has been one of the top defensive playmakers in the league, earning three Pro Bowl selections and three first-team All-Pro nods. His ability to impact the game both as a ballhawk and a defensive leader has made him a valuable asset.
However, the Saints’ dire cap situation means even key contributors aren’t safe. With financial constraints forcing tough decisions, Mathieu could become a casualty of the team’s need to clear cap space.

As speculation about his future grew, Mathieu wasted no time addressing the reports. On Sunday, he took to social media to dismiss the rumors with a confident message.
