In a recent conversation with Codie Sanchez on The BigDeal Podcast, NFL WAG
Ciara shared how she felt about Russell Wilson when they first met. She said it was a unique situation: her father, Carlton Harris, and her firstborn, Future Zahir Wilburn Wilson, were in the house.
She called the New York Giants quarterback over, saying they were just friends. However, Russell immediately countered stating he wasn’t there just as friends. When they met in person, they forgot to eat and talked for hours. He had to leave for a meeting, and she needed to eat, but they were so lost in each other.
And when Sanchez asked the NFL WAG how she knew Wilson was the one, Ciara said, “Oh, I knew. They say, when you know, you know.”
Ciara knew Russell Wilson was the one after their first meeting
After their first in-person conversation, Ciara called her best friend and makeup artist, Yolonda Frederick-Thompson, saying she didn’t want to jinx it or even say it. Thompson asked, “He’s the one?” and Ciara replied with enthusiasm, “Yes!” The same thing happened with Russell and his friend.
She told Sanchez it’s a feeling you can’t describe: “But you just know, when you know, you know. It’s a feeling you can’t fully describe, but you know the difference. That’s my story.”
The Podcast topic was “How To Manifest Anything (And Win At Life).” The Grammy-winning singer discussed her NFL husband during the “Whiteboard Sessions with Your Partner.”
How to manifest love
Sanchez later asked Ciara how to find the one, how to manifest love.
The mom-of-four called love a cherry on top. She shared that a person needs to love themselves, eat alone, embrace themselves, and take care of themselves first.
Then, visualize what they want and do not want to attract in life. Think about their partner, how they love themselves, how they love you, how they love others, and how they make things better for others. All these little things carry power.
“It goes back to manifestation and speaking life,” Ciara said. “Also, the ‘take care of self’ phase. We have to love ourselves first. We can be good with ourselves. We don’t want to be in a place where love is what makes us complete. Love is a cherry on top.
There is a saying in the Bible: ‘Without love, you have nothing.’ You want to move from a place of love. You’d say, ‘God is love.’ But you wanna be right with yourself first. Go about yourself sometimes. It’s okay to eat by yourself. It’s okay to be yourself. We have to embrace the self phase first.
Then visualize what you want to attract in your life and what you do not want. What do they look like to you? How do they love you, themselves, and the people around them? Do they make the room better? Visualize all these things. There is power in that.”
