The conclusion of the Super Bowl also marks the beginning of staffing changes for the NFL’s coaching teams. However, there are plenty of rumours swirling about which may not be true and could be pure speculation or even fan theories. As per sports journalist Ryan Burr who works for the Big 10 Network, Pittsburgh Steelers have made enquiries about Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence. However, a senior Steelers source has denied this rumour.

Steelers Have No Plans of Losing Trevor Lawrence, As Per Reports

Burr had tweeted on X, “Steelers have made inquiries to the [Jaguars] about a trade for QB Trevor Lawerence. This directly from the horses mouth in the Jags organization. WOW!” But a more recent news report has said that this is not true. A senior Steelers source has reportedly told the press, “There has never been nor was there at any time, implied or directly, any imposition about Trevor Lawrence.

"I am certain that any official with the Jacksonville Jaguars would confirm this," the source added. "Simply not true."

Moreover, a Jaguars source has also revealed that these rumours are "laughable." This news did seem unlikely since Lawrence is likely to stick with Jacksonville this season. Lawrence is entering his fifth year in the NFL and signed a five-year, $275 million contract with the Jaguars last offseason.

In four years he has managed to bag a 22-38 record with 13,815 passing yards, 69 touchdowns and 46 interceptions and also helped Jaguars beat the Los Angeles Chargers to go further in the Divisional Round. However, they were eliminated by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Steelers on the other hand are reportedly looking to retain Justin Fields but have had conversations about Aaron Rodgers, who will be released by the New York Jets. The team can also consider Russell Wilson who will be a free agent soon.
