In a touching and emotional moment, the Philadelphia Eagles surprised Ryan Quigley, a survivor of the horrific New Year’s Day terror attack in New Orleans, with tickets to Super Bowl LIX. Quigley, who was injured in the attack, shared a close bond with his best friend, Tiger Bech, who tragically lost his life in the incident. This special gesture by the Eagles not only honored Quigley’s bravery but also celebrated the memory of Bech, a lifelong Eagles fan.

Philadelphia Eagles Deliver a Meaningful Surprise to Quigley and the Bech Family

Quigley and Bech, both alumni of Princeton University, had shared a passion for the Eagles and attended every game together during the 2023 season. Tragically, their playoff dreams were cut short when Quigley was seriously injured during the New Orleans attack, where a truck was deliberately driven into a crowd on Bourbon Street. Quigley promised his late friend that if the Eagles made it to the Super Bowl, they would attend together. With the Eagles securing a spot in Super Bowl LIX, Quigley was determined to fulfill that promise.

In a heartwarming video shared by the Eagles, Quigley was brought to the team’s NovaCare Complex, where defensive end Brandon Graham greeted him and surprised him with two tickets to the upcoming Super Bowl. The moment was not just about the tickets but about Quigley honoring Bech’s memory in the very city where the tragedy occurred. “He would love nothing more than to be there,” Quigley said, sharing his deep connection with his late friend.

Quigley was joined by Ginnie Bech, Tiger’s sister, who thanked the Eagles for their kind gesture and for helping the Bech family “rewrite” Tiger’s story. It was an emotional moment as both Quigley and Ginnie expressed gratitude toward the Eagles for offering this incredible opportunity.

The Eagles’ generosity extended beyond just the Super Bowl tickets. Earlier, Quigley and Ginnie had been invited to watch the Eagles’ divisional round win over the Los Angeles Rams, where they had the chance to meet several players, including Jason Kelce and Saquon Barkley.

As Super Bowl LIX draws near, Quigley’s journey represents a story of resilience, friendship, and the deep bond shared between the Eagles, their fans, and the Bech family. With the Eagles set to face the Kansas City Chiefs on February 9, Quigley will carry Bech’s memory with him to the Super Bowl in a meaningful and unforgettable way.
