NEW DELHI: The New York Giants pulled off a major upset by thrashing the Philadelphia Eagles 27-10 during Sunday's Week 18 clash. The Giants, who were already eliminated from playoff contention, delivered a dominating performance against an Eagles team vying for the No. 2 seed in the NFC.
The first half saw the Giants establish a commanding 24-0 lead, capitalizing on the absence of Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver AJ Brown, both sidelined with injuries.Hurts, 25, briefly left the field due to a significant finger injury but quickly returned, only to throw an interception. He was eventually replaced by Marcus Mariota, who threw an interception on his first pass attempt.

Brown, 26, suffered a knee injury early in the game after a fumble and headed to the locker room, ruling him out for the remainder of the contest.
Despite the Eagles entering the game with high stakes for playoff seeding, the Giants capitalized on every opportunity, even turning a routine punt into a memorable and comical play in NFL history.
Giants linebacker Brown collided with Eagles kickoff returner Braden Mann after a punt, effectively stopping him as he attempted to fumble. While some argue that Brown's action could have warranted a flag for roughing the kicker, the unconventional move proved to be a successful and amusing tactic.

The defeat saw the Eagles go from a promising 10-1 record and first place to finishing the regular season at 11-6, leaving them in a crisis and raising questions about their postseason prospects.
