While Brittany Mahomes dropped hearts on his post, she also posted it on her Instagram story with a caption that read as, “My Guy”.

This gesture of Brittany Mahomes has made many fans emotional as they await Patrick Mahomes’ return to the field in the next season.

What happened to Patrick Mahomes in this season?

For the unversed, a few weeks ago, as the Kansas City Chiefs lost against the Los Angeles Chargers, Patrick Mahomes looked visibly in pain as he sustained a brutal ACL and LCL tear in his left knee.

This had left fans in shock and disappointment as the team recorded a pretty average run on the field in this season.

While many had depended on Patrick Mahomes this season, his injury sparked panic among fans.

A few days ago, the Kansas City Chiefs’ head coach, Andy Reid, opened up about Patrick Mahomes’ injuries.

The team’s head coach said, “He’s in the building working and doing his rehab, spending a lot of hours doing it…”

Andy Reid added, “He’s really attacked that and will continue to do that, he’s around and sees the guys, but most of his time is being spent rehabbing.”

The Kansas City Chiefs wrapped up this season with their last match against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday which they brutally lost.

This season has been a huge disappointment to the fans after the team witnessed a heartbreak in Super Bowl last season.
