Olivia Culpo admits pregnancy has made her more dependent on mommy Susan than she ever imagined
Olivia Culpo is having a baby with Christian McCaffrey. That part? Expected. What she didn’t expect was how hard she’d cling to her mom during the process. This is Culpo—Miss Universe, model, brand mogul—saying, yeah, I’m kind of lost. Pregnancy changed her. The physical part, sure. But mostly, how much she needs her mom, Susan Culpo. It’s personal. It’s emotional. It’s also very Olivia—figuring it out, one quote, one clean skincare swap, one halter dress at a time.
Culpo, 32, says the physical and emotional challenges of pregnancy changed her perspective fast. Despite always having respect for her mom, Susan Culpo, she didn’t expect to need her this much.
"She’s been so helpful, especially in the beginning when things were really tough," Olivia said.
She grew up in a large household with four siblings. Now, starting her own family, she’s suddenly tuned in to the small, consistent things her mom did—especially with food.
"Food just makes a house feel like home. I definitely want that same feeling in my house too."
Cooking still intimidates her. She admits she doesn’t know where to begin but wants to recreate the same kind of warmth she felt growing up.
When it comes to maternity fashion, Culpo is focused on balance. She’s adjusting to her changing body with a clear strategy.
"Pregnancy dressing is really all about highlighting the bump," she said.
Loose dresses are fine, but she makes sure to show a little arm or draw attention to the bump. The focus is always on comfort, especially during travel.
"I love a matching set because it just makes packing and getting dressed so much easier."
That’s the entire idea behind her Cupshe x Olivia Culpo’s Vacation Edit. She partnered with her sisters Aurora and Sophia for this one.
