The NFL players are showing some shortcomings in their skills, especially with what happened at the Sunday Night Match, fans and experts have some questions. Last night when the Indianapolis Colts played against the Denver Broncos and lost, a lot of it was blamed on the Indianapolis Colts, Jonathan Taylor. Apparently, Jonathan was on a clear path in the third quarter to a 41-yard touchdown but fate had some other plans for Jonathan. Instead of reaching for the goal, he unexpectedly dropped the ball.
Jonathan Taylor Made A Silly Mistake On Sunday Night Football Match
This was not checked by the officials initially as they mistook it for a touchdown but then it was reviewed and the truth came to light. As a result, the Indianapolis Colts lost the match and now their dreams of entering the playoffs are quite blurry and honestly, a bit too difficult.
This shocking mistake from a player with exceptional talent like Jonathan has not gone down too well with fans. Fans have criticised this move of Jonathan and are now questioning his worth in the team. But it was not just fans who were frustrated and disappointed with this whole episode. The head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, Shane Steichen also spoke up about it and revealed that it has hurt the team but they still trust Jonathan to somehow make it up in the next match. He said, "It was a mistake. Obviously, it hurt us, but you know, he's one of our leaders, and sometimes that happens in football. But you know, he's our guy.
NFL Players Have Been Making Mistakes Like Jonathan Taylor
But this was not the first time a mistake like this happened. It has happened a number of times in the NFL when players have celebrated a touchdown but actually dropped the ball just before the goal line, causing heavy losses to their teams. Coincidentally, the same mistake was also done earlier on Sunday by Tony Pollard, the running back of the Tennessee Titans.
However, Jonathan has accepted his mistake and has spoken about how it should not be happening again. As per Joel Erickson of the Indianapolis Star, Jonathan said, “You go over those scenarios, but it just can’t happen. No matter the game, no matter the scenario. You can be up by 50, down by 50, playoff game, first game of the season, that should never happen.”
