“Leave the stadium”: Jets fans rage after Tom Brady mocks their loyalty in front of Patriots crowd

Tom Brady's statue was recently unveiled. The event took place at Gillette Stadium. Brady took a jab at New York Jets fans during the ceremony. He joked about them throwing beers at the statue. This is a continuation of Brady's long-standing rivalry with the Jets. He has often teased his former rivals since retiring.

NFL legend Tom Brady may be retired, but his rivalry with the New York Jets is clearly still alive and kicking. The former New England Patriots quarterback had his 12-foot bronze statue unveiled outside Gillette Stadium on Friday — and used the moment to take a ruthless swipe at Jets fans.

Tom Brady trolls New York Jets fans during Patriots statue unveiling with savage beer-throwing joke

The statue, depicting Brady holding his helmet in one hand and raising the other in triumph, drew a large crowd of Patriots faithful to One Patriot Place. Brady, now 48, took the microphone to thank fans, reminisce on his career, and — of course — fire off one more shot at his AFC East nemesis.
“This statue isn’t just for Pats fans,” Brady quipped. “It will also give all the Jets fans something to throw their beers at as they leave the stadium every year. Probably in the second quarter. Maybe the third.”

A rivalry built on domination

Brady’s jab wasn’t without history. During his two-decade reign in New England from 2000 to 2019, the Patriots dominated the Jets, winning the AFC East nearly every season. The Jets managed just one division title in the Brady era (2002) and were twice knocked out of the playoffs by his Patriots. Brady’s personal record against them? A jaw-dropping 30-7, an .811 winning percentage that still stings for Gang Green supporters.
That consistent dominance made Brady a constant thorn in the Jets’ side — and he clearly enjoys keeping that rivalry spirit alive, even in retirement.

Tom Brady’s post-retirement zingers continue

Since hanging up his cleats in 2022, Brady hasn’t shied away from roasting his former rivals. Earlier this year, Indianapolis Colts fans were on the receiving end of his sharp wit. Friday’s statue unveiling proved that the Jets remain one of his favorite comedic targets. Also Read: Gisele Bündchen stuns in Vogue France bikini shoot as fans call her ‘a goddess’ amid post-Tom Brady glowWhile Patriots fans celebrated the unveiling of their GOAT in bronze, Jets fans might be tempted to live up to Brady’s joke the next time they visit Gillette — though probably not as early in the game as he predicted.
