Stefon Diggs and the newborn son Cardi announced on November 13. The post lasted only a short time before being deleted, yet fans started debating everything from personal drama to Georgia’s paternity laws.
The situation grew even more chaotic once Cardi shared her own messages, clearly frustrated by what she believed the post implied. Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, shared the now-deleted message on November 15. Screenshots spread almost instantly across X, and many people were caught off guard. The line was short, but the timing and the sensitive circumstances made it explode online.Many fans were surprised by how fast the moment shifted from confusion to heated discussion. People started pulling up timelines, marriage records and legal interpretations while trying to figure out what Offset actually meant.
Cardi reacts as Offset’s words spark legal discussion
The post showed Offset writing, "My kid lol." That single line caused speculation everywhere. Some fans assumed he was making a direct claim about Cardi’s baby with Diggs, while others pointed to Georgia’s paternity law, which says a woman’s legal husband is automatically presumed to be the father of her child even if the biological father is someone else. Since Cardi and Offset married back in 2017 and filed for divorce in 2024 but never finalized it, the law still applies. Diggs can petition the court for legal rights, but for now, Cardi is the only one who can make decisions for the baby. Soon after Offset’s post spread, Cardi B shared several messages of her own on X. She sounded exhausted with the situation and made it clear she did not find the moment funny. In her first post, she wrote, “Y’all be thinking it’s so funny and it’s not… it’s been over a year and I’m still being harassed and threatened to the point that I feel like my life in danger.. it's all fun and games until it's too late."
A little later, she added a second message, “MF’ers do anything for attention and it could get real nasty with just one upload… LEAVE ME TF ALONE.” Both the tweets have now been deleted.
Cardi eventually joined an X Space to talk more openly about how the ongoing tension has worn on her. She explained, “I’m really starting to be concerned… I can’t take this anymore. I don’t bother nobody. Leave me the f*ck alone."
