Kylie Kelce reveals cheeky plan to grow family, knowing Jason Kelce won’t be pleased

Kylie Kelce recently revealed her strategic plan to expand her family by adopting a cat, despite her husband Jason Kelce’s strong opposition. During an episode of her podcast Not Gonna Lie, where actress Kat Dennings was a guest, Kylie openly discussed her family’s ongoing debate over getting a pet cat and how determined she is to make it happen.

Kylie Kelce, who is expecting her fourth child with Jason Kelce, shared that their children have been expressing a growing interest in adding a feline member to their household. However, Jason has been actively trying to dissuade them from the idea by telling their daughters that cats are “poisonous.” Kylie recalled the amusing contradiction, noting that Jason had grown up with a cat named Flash, who had impressed him by catching birds mid-air in their backyard.
Despite Jason’s reluctance, Kylie has devised a clever plan to fulfill her children’s wishes. "One day I’m just going to take our kids to the local rescue and I’m going to pick out a cat and then I’m going to bring the cat home," Kylie explained. She added that her strategy involves waiting until Jason is away for a couple of days before bringing the new pet home. Her plan hinges on the idea that by the time Jason returns, their daughters will have already bonded with the cat, making it difficult for him to send it away.

Kylie further joked about her husband’s resistance during the podcast, recalling a recent conversation with their 5-year-old daughter Wyatt. "I am in a great debate with my husband about getting a cat. Our oldest daughter, just the other day, told Dad, ‘We’re going to buy a cat.’ He was like, ‘Kylie, did you tell her we’re going to buy a cat?’ I was like, ‘I swear, I did not. It wasn’t me,’" Kylie shared.
Kat Dennings, who has her own collection of pet cats, offered some helpful advice to Kylie on how to win Jason over. “Everyone wants a kitten; they’re so cute,” Dennings said. “They’re only kittens for a very short time and then they’re cats. So, you might be better off with your husband [if] you take him in to maybe meet a cat who’s a little older, who’s already feisty and he might toss a couple things, watch that cat fly for it and he’ll fall in love.”
Kylie appreciated Dennings’ advice but made it clear that she has a backup plan if Jason remains resistant. "At that point, the girls will be like, ‘This is the best thing ever, [and] they’ll get to bond with the cat,'" she said. Kylie believes that if Jason tries to return the pet, he will have to face their daughters' emotional attachment to the cat. "I feel like this makes a lot of sense," Kylie concluded, adding that she appreciated Dennings’ support in her feline mission.

This lighthearted family debate comes after the Kelce family welcomed an Irish Wolfhound named Baloo into their home in 2023. While Jason might be holding out against adding a cat to their household, it seems Kylie’s strategic approach — combined with their daughters’ persistence — might just tip the scales in favor of a new furry family member.
