Kayla Nicole breaks silence on viral Halloween outfit as internet brings back old tweets and Travis Kelce controversy

Kayla Nicole is speaking out after a very busy and stressful time online. She was honored by xoNecole as part of the “It Girl 100 Class of 2025” in the Viral Voices group. But at the same time, two things put her in the middle of the internet talk again. First, her old tweets from 2010 to 2014 came back. These tweets had hurtful words. When people shared screenshots, Kayla Nicole deleted her X account. She later said sorry on Instagram, saying she felt ashamed reading those posts today.

Second, her Halloween outfit went viral. She dressed like Toni Braxton from the “He Wasn’t Man Enough” video. Many people on the internet said she was trying to send a message to her ex-boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his fiancée Taylor Swift. But she clearly said on her “The Pre-Game” podcast that the look was only to honor Toni Braxton and nothing else. She repeated the same at the Ebony Power 100 Gala the next day.

Kayla Nicole said in her xoNecole interview that she does not want the internet to control her life. She said the internet should be a tool to talk and share, not something that takes away her peace. She said that if things get too loud or too heavy, she will log out and take a break.

She also talked about her old tweets. In her Instagram apology, she said she was very sorry for the words she used many years ago. She said she feels ashamed today and would never use those words now. She said she has grown, learned, and understands how hurtful those posts were. She said she now chooses to speak with care and kindness.

Kayla Nicole said she now thinks before she shares anything. She said there is a “delicate dance” between being real and showing too much. She said she wants her posts to help people feel seen but also wants to protect the parts of her life that matter the most.

Her work has also changed in a big way. After finishing her studies in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science at Pepperdine University, she did not follow the job she once imagined. She thought she would be a news anchor on TV. Instead, she started in Hollywood as an assistant at TMZ, then became a freelance sports reporter.

Today, she hosts her own show, “The Pre-Game”, where she talks about sports, fun pop-culture moments, and real life in a relaxed, easy way. She also takes acting classes, goes to big events like New York Fashion Week, and grows her wellness brand, Tribe Therepē, which focuses on simple care for the mind and body.

Kayla Nicole is now trying to move forward with honesty, growth, and a career she once thought she could never have.
