The clip shows a light but honest moment between J.J. Watt and Rondale Moore during their time with the Arizona Cardinals. Moore looks frustrated after a drop. Watt checks in. “You okay?” Watt asks. “No,” Moore replies.

After some back and forth, Watt delivers the line that fans cannot stop sharing: “You get back up, and you go out there, and you catch the next one.”


That message has taken on a new turn after Moore's demise and feels much heavier. On Feb.22, 2026, Watt reacted on X, writing, “Can’t even begin to fathom or process this. There’s just no way. Way too soon. Way too special. So much left to give. Rest in peace, Rondale.” He shared that message publicly after news broke of Moore’s passing.

According to reports from TMZ Sports, Moore was found deceased in a garage from a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities continue to investigate. An autopsy will confirm the official cause of death.

Moore entered the league as a second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Purdue. He recorded 135 receptions for 1,201 yards and three touchdowns with the Cardinals. Injuries slowed his progress, including major setbacks before the 2024 and 2025 seasons. He later joined the Minnesota Vikings but did not record a catch in the 2025 regular season.
The NFL released a statement on February 22, 2026, saying, “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Rondale Moore.” Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell told ESPN through Adam Schefter, “He was a humble, soft-spoken, and respectful young man who was proud of his Indiana roots.”
