In 2023, Gisele Bundchen was finally able to break the vow of silence about her divorce with NFL star Tom Brady, providing a glimpse into the end of their 13-year relationship. Their break up caused countless speculations of demands and professional conflicts, and Bundchen was soon to clear the air of the speculations.
She clarified that they were changing not because of a decision or the absence of love. Rather, she created a portrait of two individuals who just transformed to become other forms of themselves.
Gisele Bündchen explained why the divorce narrative missed the truth
The public often demands a villain in celebrity breakups, yet Bündchen refused to provide one. She addressed the speculation that Brady’s return to the field caused the rift, calling the rumors of a football-related ultimatum entirely false. She emphasized that her support for her former husband remains unwavering, regardless of their relationship status.
“Listen, I have always cheered for him, and I would continue forever,” Bündchen said in the interview published on 22 March. “If there’s one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it’s him, believe me. I want him to achieve and to conquer. I want all his dreams to come true. That’s what I want, really, from the bottom of my heart.”
When asked about the stories circulating in the media, she noted that almost “Everything” written was untrue. “What’s been said is one piece of a much bigger puzzle. It’s not so black and white.”
Reflecting on the emotional toll of the split, she shared her perspective on the effort she poured into the marriage. “It’s tough because you imagine your life was going to be a certain way, and you did everything you could, you know? I believed in fairy tales when I was a kid. I think it’s beautiful to believe in that. I mean, I’m so grateful I did.”
Ultimately, she viewed the end as a natural, if painful, progression of life. “You give everything you got to achieve your dream. You give a hundred percent of yourself, and it’s heartbreaking when it doesn’t end up the way you hoped for, and worked for, but you can only do your part.”
