Aaron Rodgers' Super Bowl LIX prediction

Aaron Rodgers, the NFL MVP, predicts the game will be in the fourth quarter but doesn't believe betting against the Chiefs is prudent, favoring Patrick Mahomes and his team. "Well the Chiefs have obviously been on a roll the last few years. It seems like it could be Philly's year, there's always that momentum that plays into it," Rodgers said.

He added, "There was like, they had the right amount of turmoil midseason where they start questioning [head coach Nick] Siranni and Jalen [Hurts] and the passing game. Saquon's been the best player - non-quarterback - in the league all season so I think it's going to be a great game. It's going to come down to the fourth quarter where the Chiefs have won like seven or eight games in the fourth quarter this year so it'd be tough to bet against them.”

The Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, a thrilling battle that the Chiefs won in a thriller. The Eagles seek revenge, while the Chiefs aim to achieve a record-breaking feat in NFL history. Despite facing challenges in offense, defense, and special teams, the Chiefs consistently win games when they matter most, showcasing their resilience in big games.

"The addition of Barkley has been massive," said ESPN NFL Writer Tim McManus. "Pick any number of his house calls to see just how much of a game-altering threat he has been in his first season in Philadelphia. He has seven touchdowns of 60-plus yards this season, the most in NFL history."

He added, "The Eagles' primary back in '22 was Barkley's backfield partner at Penn State, Miles Sanders, who ran for almost 1,300 yards and 11 touchdowns that year to make the Pro Bowl. But what Barkley has done has been transformational for this offense. He needs only 30 yards to pass Denver Broncos HOFer Terrell Davis for most rushing yards in a season, including playoffs.”

The Chiefs will do their best to make history repeat itself and win their third straight Super Bowl. Super Bowl LIX between the Chiefs and Eagles kicks off at 6:30 p.m. EST from the Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday night.
