"It wore me down to nothing": Aaron Rodgers faces claims of emotional abuse from ex Danica Patrick as mystery around his wife deepens

Aaron Rodgers, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ star player, has kept his wife, Brittany, completely out of the spotlight after a number of public controversial relationships.

In 2018, Aaron Rodgers started dating former IndyCar driver Danica Patrick, but after a number of public appearances, their relationship ended in 2020. Amid all the mess about Aaron Rodgers’ wife’s identity, Danica Patrick’s words have sparked panic.

A few months ago, Aaron Rodgers’ ex girlfriend, Danica Patrick, appeared on the "The Sage Steele Show" where she said, "Because it was sudden, it felt like. It was my life. So like when you live with somebody, it's your whole life…”



Danica Patrick added, “And because the nature of the relationship was emotionally abusive, so that wore me down to nothing.”

The former IndyCar Driver continued, "Hindsight, I ignored it, but in real life, it was just like I just feel like — I would say all the time, 'I'm built for hard things. I can handle hard things.' And so I just saw it as a hard thing…”

Interestingly, this is not the first time that Aaron Rodgers’ ex girlfriend has opened up about how toxic the relationship was.

Aaron Rodgers’ ex fiancee, Shailene Woodley, has also admitted how painful their break up was and how it had a pretty negative impact on her mental health and life.

However, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ star player, Aaron Rodgers, has stayed away from commenting on the drama as he continues to be private about his marriage.

In June 2025, Aaron Rodgers appeared on the popular “The Pat McAfee Show” a few months ago where he said, “My wife is a private person, doesn’t have social media, hasn’t been a public person, doesn’t want to be a public person. I know that I’ve chosen to be in the public eye for one more season, but my private life is staying private…”

It has been over six months since Aaron Rodgers admitted that he has tied the knot but neither his family nor his teammates have reportedly seen his wife yet.
