Davante Adams has finally addressed the big question many NFL fans have been wondering is he thinking about retirement? The Los Angeles Rams wide receiver, now 33, recently spoke openly about his future and made it clear that walking away from football is not on his mind right now.Speaking on The Stephen A. Smith Show, Adams admitted that retirement had crossed his mind earlier, especially after difficult stints with the Raiders and Jets. However, his outlook has changed since joining the Rams.

“I don’t feel like I need to think about retiring right now,” Adams said. He explained that as long as his body holds up and he can still play at a high level, he wants to keep going. Adams even joked that his focus is on whether he can still run at top speed at his age.

Does Davante Adams see the Rams as his final stop?

Adams signed a two-year, $44 million deal with the Los Angeles Rams in March, and the move appears to have revived his love for the game. He said the environment in Los Angeles feels very different from what he experienced in recent years.
Under head coach Sean McVay, Adams feels mentally connected and fully involved in the game plan. He has also built strong chemistry with quarterback Matthew Stafford, which has shown on the field.
In the 2025 regular season, Adams caught 60 passes for 789 yards and scored an NFL-best 14 receiving touchdowns in just 14 games. His impact helped the Rams finish with a 12-5 record and return to the playoffs.The season was not without setbacks. Adams missed the final three weeks of the regular season due to a hamstring injury and later took a hard hit to the head in the Wild Card round. The good news for Rams fans is that he has cleared concussion protocol and is expected to be available for the Divisional Round.
Despite the injuries, Adams said he still feels motivated and grateful to be playing meaningful football at this stage of his career.Adams spent eight successful seasons with the Green Bay Packers, where he built a legendary partnership with Aaron Rodgers. After mixed experiences with the Raiders and Jets, he believes Los Angeles might be the place where he finishes his career.
“I don’t want to keep bouncing around,” Adams said, adding that if things continue this way, he would love for the Rams to be his final stop.For now, Davante Adams is not retiring.
