Anthony Richardson, the quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts, made a significant return to game action by practicing full participation for the first time since being ruled out of their Week 4 win over Pittsburgh. Richardson is currently nursing hip and oblique injuries and was limited in practice last week. Colts coach Shane Steichen stated that Richardson will be the QB1 job once he is healthy, despite the stellar play of veteran backup Joe Flacco. Also Read: “I’m a quarterback at heart”: Travis Kelce Says That Football is Always His First Priority Although He Likes to Dabble Around

Anthony Richardson upgraded to full participant in Thursday's practice

Anthony Richardson, the Indianapolis Colts' quarterback prospect, has made significant progress in his recovery from an oblique injury he sustained in a Week 4 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Richardson practiced fully for the first time since the injury, and his leadup to Week 6 against the Tennessee Titans feels better than his Week 5 preparation. "Way better, compared to last week," Richardson said Wednesday, via the Indy Star. "I was able to move a little bit. I'm able to get going, start running, throwing. Feeling good about that."
Richardson's deep-passing ability, coupled with his strong torque and hip rotation, and his ability as a scrambler and rusher, are more accessible this week.
"Little bit of both, honestly because rotation, getting my hips right," Richardson said. "Just putting a lot of torque and stuff on my body. But no, I'd probably say both with the same difficulty but I'm feeling good with both now." Richardson, along with Commanders rookie Jayden Daniels and Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud, is among the three quarterbacks this season who have completed 50 or more air yards. "I can run, I can throw, I can do the stuff I need to do in the offense," Richardson said. "We're just going to take it day by day and see how the rest of the week goes." “I really just think it's all up to feel," Richardson added. "I'm pretty sure my body's not 100 percent, because Week 1, your body is going to keep going down and down, because it's taking hits. But if I'm feeling good, I'm going to go out there."
