The Antonio Brown chaos train is back on the tracks and this time, it’s riding straight through the bankruptcy headlines.
On June 25, multiple sports outlets reported that the former NFL wide receiver, who once made over $100 million in career earnings, had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. They claimed AB had less than $50,000 in assets and owed nearly $3 million in debts, from lawsuit judgments to unpaid vendors.
Fans were shocked. Critics dunked on him. And within hours, Brown fired back, loudly.
AB posted a screenshot of $24 million in his account and told the media to fall back
Rather than release a statement or deny the reports the traditional way, AB did what only AB would do, he reposted the viral MLFootball tweet about his “heartbreaking” bankruptcy and attached a screenshot showing what appears to be a money market account with a $24,001,006.09 balance.
His caption?
“bankrupt over get off my ”Yep. That’s the tweet. No follow-up. No context. Just a flex and an emoji.
Fans on X were instantly split: is AB trolling again? Is the screenshot real? Is the account even his? Or is this just peak Antonio Brown energy in response to the headlines?
Social media is eating it up and no one knows what to believe anymore
After Antonio Brown clapped back at bankruptcy headlines with a screenshot claiming he has over $24 million in the bank, fans flooded the replies and let’s just say, it turned into a comedy show.
Users like @RickyRobby99 and @strallweat couldn’t help but clown AB’s money management skills:
“Why you got that much in a money market breh. Get a financial advisor ” and
“Let me be your financial advisor ”Another user @miketx95 joked,
“Let me hold $3,” while others asked,
“You need a loan, AB?”

The most chaotic part? Brown’s court filing reportedly listed his own company, CTESPN, as a debtor. So while the bankruptcy is real, AB may be trying to separate personal wealth from business debt or he may just be trolling for fun. It’s always hard to tell with him.
Bankruptcy headlines or not, Antonio Brown’s response was exactly what you'd expect: loud, unfiltered, and totally meme-worthy.
Whether that $24 million is real, exaggerated, or just a decoy, one thing’s for sure, AB’s not going down quietly. And if he is broke, he’s broke with a verified account and a Wi-Fi connection strong enough to break the internet.
