“I was hurt every day”: Cardi B breaks silence on the emotional toll of being married to Offset amid her new life with Stefon Diggs

Cardi B and Stefon Diggs’ relationship has attracted a lot of criticisms over the past few months, but the Grammy winner seems happier than she was with her ex husband, Offset.

Cardi B announced her separation from Offset just a few months before she and Stefon Diggs were spotted together. Recently, Cardi B opened up about her traumatic experience of being with Offset.

A few months ago, Cardi B appeared on Jay Shetty’s popular podcast where she opened up about being married to Offset as he faced a number of cheating allegations.



Cardi B said, “I was saying, ‘You know what? I can’t go through this anymore. I have to put a stop to it.’ But when I said I was going to put a stop to it — because you can say you’re going to put a stop to it, and you could go a month without being around somebody.”

The “Am I the Drama?” artist added, “It’s not when you say so. It’s when your heart says so. I kept telling myself, ‘I would not contact this person for a month. I would not give in. I would not forgive this easily. I would not go back. I would not go to the pattern. I would not go through it.”

Cardi B added, “But I was crying every day. I was hurt every day. I was thinking about it every single day. But when your heart is not done, your heart is not done.”

Cardi B and Offset separated a couple of times before she finally announced their divorce in October 2024 after having three children together.

Offset has often made remarks against Stefon Diggs and Cardi B

While Stefon Diggs and Cardi B’s relationship has found itself in a lot of controversies ever since they went public with their love, the Grammy winner has always supported him in public.

Many fans also feel that Cardi B is in a much better place in life with Stefon Diggs than she was with her ex husband, Offset, before she separated from him.

Though Offset has made many controversial remarks against Stefon Diggs, the New England Patriots’ star player has remained silent.
