After winning the Super Bowl LIX with a spectacular performance over the Kansas City Chiefs with a dominant 40-22 win, Josh Sweat said that he deserved the highest honor. The Philadelphia Eagles star pass-rusher Josh Sweat stole the entire game against the Kansas City Chief with three turnovers and a total of six sacks. He led the Eagles with 2.5 sacks as the Philly defense stymied the quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

“I am happy,” Eagles' Josh Sweat becomes the talking point of the Super Bowl after his free hit agency talks

While speaking to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the pass rusher mentioned, “I should’ve had it. I could’ve had it. I could’ve had it. It’s all good, though.”

Though with hue and cry, Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts ached the Super Bowl MVP with 221 yards, two touchdowns, and 72 rushing yards which eventually points out Sweat to be a better candidate for the highest honor.

Further acknowledging his case he said to Jeff McLane, “Money is important sure, but I want to be in the right situation.” “I don’t know what it looks like for me now, but I am happy,” he added.

There is no question of doubt with Hurts performance but the argument stands in favor of Sweat as he was one of the best production among the Eagles defensive players. Therefore this is not the end of his sports innings.

While the Super Bowl did not serve well to Josh Sweat, it has been heard that the pass runner has made tons of money for himself with his performance and likely to enter free agency this offseason. His move seems divergent.

As the tale says, “Win or Lose, Do it fairly,” Sweat’s journey sets an example for it. He is happy with what he has achieved and acknowledged that the money will play a role in his free agent decision.

Looking back to his master hits, Sweat was named a Pro-Bowler back then in 2021 with a career-high of 11 sacks in 2022. This team had 8 sacks, 41 tackles, 9 tackles for loss and 15 quarterback hits in 16 games.

Slowing down to the truth, Josh Sweat is not the first person to enter free hit agency; rather he stepped into the footprints of some of the top-notch Eagles’ like linebacker Zack Baun, defensive tackle Milton Williams, and guard Mekhi Becton.
