As one of the key cast members in Ryan Coogler’s much-anticipated supernatural horror film Sinners, Steinfeld revealed that she will also be featured on the movie’s official soundtrack. Speaking to Collider ahead of the film’s release, Hailee Steinfeld opened up about what this opportunity means to her, calling it a dream come true. “I can tell you this much — it goes without saying, but I always love to mention that music is a love of mine and a huge passion and something that has played a very strong role in my life in more ways than one... I’m forever grateful.”

After years of topping charts with hits like “Let Me Go” and “Starving,” Steinfeld stepped back from music to give full attention to her rapidly rising acting career. While she found success in leading roles across franchises like Hawkeye and Spider-Verse, the pull of music never left her.
“I had taken a bit of a break from music, which was a very difficult decision to make, but I wanted to focus on my acting... Then, I felt so, so, so lucky to be a part of a movie like Sinners where music is such a huge part of it,” she shared.
Sinners, described by early critics as possibly the best vampire movie ever made, is directed by Oscar-nominated Ryan Coogler and stars Michael B. Jordan in a thrilling lead role. The film's score is composed by the award-winning Ludwig Göransson, known for Black Panther and Oppenheimer, adding even more prestige to the project.

For Steinfeld, the chance to act and contribute musically to a film of this scale is nothing short of a creative dream. “This is the dream — for me to be acting in a film that is so driven and moved by music... It’s been a long time, and I didn’t realize how much I missed it,” she said.
