“Give back my boy”: Giants RB Cam Skattebo’s humble request to Jaxson Dart’s girlfriend Marissa Ayers

New England Patriots rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart and his girlfriend, Marissa Ayers, made their relationship Instagram official just days ago. They shared twenty wholesome photos with the caption: “rumor has it… @jaxsondart.” Dart commented, “[orange heart emoji] My Peach,” and “In a movie w you [smiling face with hearts emoji].” Together, these two comments have just under 12K likes.

However, rookie running back Cam Skattebo’s comment stole the show: “Give back my boy [crying face emoji].” This comment has over 34K likes. The point is clear. When a girlfriend enters a friend’s life, he drifts from his best friend. Whether we like it or not, it just happens. It’s a universal feeling, and Skattebo spoke for so many guys who have lost friends to their girlfriends or vice versa.

MLFootball shared a snippet of the comment and the post on X with the caption:

One X user added, “Scary don’t want anybody messing up the boys.”

Skattebo’s Instagram comment received several nods. “@sk4ttp4ck you’ll always be his number 1 [red heart emoji],” announced one IG user.

Another wrote, “@sk4ttp4ck make sure she doesn’t hurt him.” A third user echoed Cam’s plea, “@sk4ttp4ck fr give us our boy back.” A fourth admitted, “@sk4ttp4ck happens to every one [pensive face emoji].”

A fifth urged, “@sk4ttp4ck she better have a friend for you!” Another shared, “@sk4ttp4ck going through the same thing.”

“I didn’t know him [Jaxson Dart] a day before the draft day,” Skattebo told ESPN’s Peter Schrager in October 2025. “I texted him on draft day after he got drafted. Obviously, draft day is busy as crap. Later that night, I went out to dinner. He called my phone. He FaceTimed me on my phone, and I was like, ‘What up?’ He’s like, ‘Are you ready?’ And I’m like, ‘I’m ready.’

Me and Jaxson are crazy when we’re just kind of hanging out. I mean, it’s everything you see on the internet, and probably worse.

I always tell him, ‘Don’t get too old for the game. We stay young. We keep having fun. Stay connected and continue to build something outside of football, because life will take us further.’

Kristen Wong of Sports Illustrated calls their friendship: It was a bromance at first sight.
