The Kansas City Chiefs earned themselves a historic Super Bowl three-peat by thrashing the Houston Texans 23-14 in a divisional-round playoff game, sending them to their seventh consecutive AFC championship game. They will face the winner of Sunday's game between the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills. Two-time defending champion Travis Kelce became the first tight end in NFL history to record nine career postseason games of at least 100 yards, breaking a tie with Hall of Famer Jerry Rice for the most all-time touchdown.

Travis Kelce was appreciative of the atmosphere during the Chiefs' divisional round win over the Texans

Travis Kelce, 35, is not sure how many playoff moments he has left in his career, which could be good for two Hall of Fame nominations. His push with the Chiefs dynasty has been questioned more recently because of his relationship with Taylor Swift.

Kelce, though not stating at all that he is retiring from his field, has captured scenes during his playoff run with the Chiefs. He was heard to be appreciative of the atmosphere and moment at Arrowhead Stadium during the Chiefs' divisional round win over the Texans.

“This place is f*cking rocking today. There’s nothing like playoff atmosphere man. That’s the most fun you could ever have in life,” Kelce told one of his teammates on the bench. “We’ve only got so many of these. Can never lose sight of that. No matter how hard it is, you’ve got to embrace how hard it is and really enjoy it. Only way to do it.”

Travis Kelce set an NFL record with his ninth career postseason game of at least 100 yards, breaking a tie with Hall of Famer Jerry Rice for the most all-time touchdown. "You know 8-7 was gonna show up whenever it's a big-time moment, and he did that," quarterback Patrick Mahomes said in a postgame interview. "Everybody was asking 'where's Travis Kelce at?' I think he showed the world where he's at.”

The Chiefs took the lead at 13-12 in the fourth quarter with a 13-yard touchdown by Texans' Joe Mixon. Kansas City came back with a 13-yard touchdown by Mahomes, who found Kelce for a connection after the quarterback fell to the ground. Houston missed an extra point, making it a tie.

In the second quarter, Kelce made a 49-yard catch-and-run, his longest of the season, and Kareem Hunt scored a 1-yard touchdown. Despite holding possession for the first three quarters, the Texans could not get past self-inflicted mistakes such as missed field goals, blocked extra points, and eight penalties for 82 yards. The Texans' quarterback, C.J. Stroud, was sacked eight times.
