Football fans have seen the Kelce brothers dominate, celebrate, and even trash-talk their way through the NFL—but could they soon be calling plays instead of making them? One tweet from Jason Kelce has the internet buzzing after Chiefs head coach Andy Reid threw out an interesting prediction about Travis Kelce's potential coaching future. And, as always, Jason couldn't resist stirring the pot.
Andy Reid Believes Travis Kelce Has Coaching In His Dna And Could Become “Heck Of A Football Coach”
Andy Reid appeared on The Herd with Colin Cowherd recently, and he came with a take that everyone needs to remember immediately. Praising Travis Kelce's football IQ, Big Red casually quipped,
“Travis would be a heck of a football coach. He’s able to get up there and explain things and teach these young guys exactly what he sees and feels.” According to Reid, his star tight end has a special ability to dissect plays, communicate strategies, and mentor young players-all the qualities of a future head coach. In other words, the same guy who dances in the end zone and yells 'You Gotta Fight for Your Right to Party! ’ could also be calling fourth-quarter plays someday. Imagine that.
Jason Kelce’s Hilarious Response To Andy Reid’s Comment
Enter Jason Kelce, a man who, despite officially retiring, just can’t stay out of the football conversation. Never one to miss a chance for some brotherly banter, Jason responded to Reid’s comment on Twitter with a cheeky offer:
“If he needs an O-line coach, I’m available.”And just like that, fans were in a frenzy. Could we actually see the Kelce brothers on the same coaching staff someday? Would Jason be drawing up blocking schemes while Travis, clipboard in hand, passionately yelled at referees in the background? The mental image alone is pure entertainment.
Let's be honest: neither one has ever been a coach. But when has that ever really stopped a Kelce from doing something ridiculous? Between the Super Bowl rings and All-Pro selections they have amassed, along with decades of football knowledge, it's not a crazy idea by any stretch of the imagination.
For now, Jason is enjoying his retirement (and podcasting), and Travis is still catching passes from Patrick Mahomes. But in a few years? Don't be surprised if you see the Kelce brothers rocking headsets on the sidelines, scheming plays, and maybe even giving their own post-game speeches about partying rights. Wouldn't that be something?
