After the Eagles' 40-22 victory over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, the cornerback mocked Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce on Instagram by posting a photo of himself facing off against Kelce. Johnson's remark appeared to be a dig at Kelce's relationship with Taylor Swift, suggesting he shouldn't have moved on from his ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole. Chiefs fans have allegedly posted fraudulent negative reviews of their mother's restaurant, King's Grill, in Rockledge, Florida, including one-star ratings and false complaints about poor service.
Yelp has issued a warning label on the restaurant's page due to a surge in negative reviews. "This business is being monitored by Yelp's Support team for content related to media reports." Google also took action, reportedly removing a wave of recent reviews. However, the attacks may have been futile, King's Grill has been closed since late January.
Gardner-Johnson's parents, Brian and Del, clarified on TMZ Live that the online backlash was not affecting them. "We're good," Del said confidently, revealing that they had already moved on to a new restaurant in Cocoa, Florida, called Village Bier Garten. Gardner-Johnson has not publicly commented on the situation, while Swift supported Kelce from a Caesars Superdome suite, but the couple was not photographed together after the Chiefs' hopes were crushed.
