Chiefs cheerleader spills on Taylor Swift’s post-game ritual with Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift's game-day appearances at Kansas City Chiefs games have left a significant impact, especially on former cheerleader Stefanie Hills. Swift's proximity to the cheerleaders and her visible support, like applauding Hills' choreography, adds a surreal aspect to her presence. The Chiefs cheerleaders also have a tradition of getting tattoos to commemorate Super Bowl victories.

Taylor Swift’s presence at Kansas City Chiefs games has become a spectacle. Love her or hate her, she’s there, unapologetically cheering for Travis Kelce. The cameras catch every smile, every reaction, and for some fans, it’s a distraction. For those on the field, though, it’s something else entirely. Former Chiefs cheerleader Stefanie Hills shared how Swift's appearances left an impact that was impossible to ignore.

Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, and the locker room tradition that had everyone talking

Stefanie Hills, who cheered for the Chiefs until 2023, dropped a TikTok bombshell about Taylor Swift’s game-day ritual. After every match at Arrowhead Stadium, Swift would wait outside the locker room to meet Travis Kelce. Sweet, right? But for the Chiefs cheerleaders, whose locker room was conveniently next door, this meant constant near-misses with one of the biggest pop stars on the planet.
"All those pictures of her game-day outfits walking down red tunnels in Arrowhead [Stadium] are right next to the players' locker rooms, which is right next door to the Chiefs cheer locker room," Hills said in her post. It wasn’t just the idea of Swift being close by—it was the surreal proximity that made the moment unforgettable.
And then there was the ultimate fangirl moment. After one game, Hills and the cheer squad couldn’t resist. They huddled by the door, hoping for a glimpse of Swift.
"We were waiting for like a really long time. I'm not even a Swiftie, and I was like crawled down in the front waiting to take my picture with her," Hills admitted. For someone who claimed not to be a fan, she sure wasn’t above a bit of strategic waiting.

When Taylor Swift clapped for a Chiefs cheerleader’s choreography

If having Taylor Swift at a game wasn’t enough, imagine her clapping for something you created. That’s exactly what happened to Hills. She choreographed a routine for the Chiefs cheerleaders, and during a performance in the end zone, she caught Swift on the jumbotron, applauding.
"We performed my choreography in the end zone. I looked up, and no joke, she was on the screen and she was clapping," Hills said. The moment left her in disbelief. "If she didn’t like it, she wouldn’t have clapped. So that was pretty cool."
It’s moments like these that make Swift’s presence more than just a celebrity cameo. She’s not just sitting there—she’s watching, reacting, and in her way, participating.
Kelce knows how to work the crowd. After a dominant performance in the Chiefs' playoff win against the Texans, he was asked if he felt younger on the field. His response? “22, baby!” A direct nod to one of Swift’s most iconic tracks. Say what you will, but this relationship? It’s got layers.

Tattoos, Super Bowls, and the Chiefs cheerleader tradition

Hills didn’t just spill the tea on Swift—she gave a behind-the-scenes look at one of the Chiefs cheerleaders’ unique traditions. Every time the team makes a Super Bowl appearance, many cheerleaders get tattoos to commemorate the occasion. For Hills, the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory in February 2024 marked her fourth.
"We have this crazy tradition where we get tattoos every time we go to a Super Bowl," Hills shared. This time, she opted for a Roman numeral and an arrowhead. "It is not a requirement to get a tattoo, and there is absolutely no pressure. However, I would say the majority of our team got tatted today."
Even their athletic trainer joined in, getting a Vegas-themed tattoo with the number 34 to honor the team.
