Entering their Week 7 game against the New York Giants on several injury concerns, Carolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich provided an update on his roster after a short but intense workout at Bayern Munich's practice facility on Friday. Two starters—left tackle Ikem Ekwonu and wide receiver Adam Thielen—have been ruled out for the team's game on Sunday. Ekwonu had struggled with an ankle injury, while Thielen was bothered by a hamstring strain, which ruled them out of the big game in London.Safety Jammie Robinson, who's been fighting through the week with a knee issue, is another who's listed as questionable. Loss Of Ikem Ekwonu: The big hole left at the offensive line

It was just the second year for the left tackle, after having been till now one of the few constants so far this season since the team drafted him in the sixth overall in 2022 and the loss of Ekwonu leaves a giant hole in that line. He has the ability to protect quarterback Bryce Young and open running lanes for the Panthers' offense, which has fed into success so far this season. His absence raises concerns for both pass protection and run blocking as the Panthers face a tough Giants defense.

Adam Thielen’s Injury Puts Strain on Panthers’ Receiving Corps

Thielen's been Carolina's most productive receiver this season, both by yardage and touchdown catch. So without him on offense, more onus will fall on Carolina's pass play outside the wideouts.
Heavily reliant on first-year wideouts Jonathan Mingo and Terrace Marshall Jr., as well as tight ends Hayden Hurst and Ian Thomas.Safety Jammie Robinson will also be one of those questionable for Sunday along with Ekwonu and Thielen. The young man has proven pretty impressive in his first year as a Panther. His absence could impact the Panthers' ability to contain the Giants’ offense, particularly in coverage and defensive versatility. The Panthers have been short enough on injuries going into the game Sunday so they are going to be pressed to keep up with this power house. Also Read - Record Breaking Viewership of NFL
