With the win of the Philadelphia Eagles at the Super Bowl LIX one player has been receiving lots of respect and the man is Cooper DeJean. His meticulous performance at the Super Bowl was the eye watch.
Recently podcaster Caitlin Clark, herself in person reached out to Cooper DeJean and congratulated him for his win and sources say there was mutual respect from both the end.
DeJean also revealed that he and the Indiana Fever player might take on a game between WNBA and NFL duo. Cooper has been one of the players whose confidence and actions pull down others.
What was Caitlin Clark’s message for Cooper DeJean?
Speaking at an interview on the Up & Adams Show, DeJean shared that Caitlin Clark has reached out to him on his victory after the Eagles’ win. He appreciated her gesture with humility knowing her loyalty towards Kansas City.
DeJean shared“She sent me a nice message congratulating me, so that was nice of her being a Chiefs fan and all.” It must be known that Clark was a basketball player before she entered the WNBA.
The gesture of appreciating Clark shows that both the athletes have a mutual respect for each other and their connections as Iowa stars remain a unique bond.
But for quite some time Clark has been into the news. Recently her comments towards the players have sparked a row. Speaking to ESPN Caitlin Clark and Erin Kane have shared their views about the players.
Kane said,“What I don't understand is why today's players are being held hostage by business decisions made by league executives and front office members.” “They were playing AAU or even younger at this point,” Kane added.
Erin Kane also said that she believes Indiana Fever stars and the WNBA players should be paid well. Kane said, “The WNBA has suffered from underinvestment for a long time, I'm glad everybody has seen the light and is now engaged and providing more resources and more opportunities. But the reality is that today's players should not be penalized for a lack of investment over time made at the business level. It has nothing to do with them.”
