Josh Allen is having quite the month. The Buffalo Bills quarterback was the favourite to be the league's MVP heading into Sunday's game in Detroit and threw for 362 yards and two scores; he also ran for two touchdowns in a 48-42 road win against the Lions, no less, who are leading NFC. The game eventually came down to an onside kick recovered by CB Taron Johnson.

MVP Candidate Josh Allen Addresses ‘Funky’ Fall During Bill-Lions Game

It was one of the most engrossing matches of the season as both teams combined for the highest-scoring game of the NFL season, scoring 90 points combined. However, Allen used a basketball-style chest pass to hit tight end Dalton Kincaid for a touchdown and it was called back due to holding.
It was remarkable enough for tight end Dawson Knox to address it post-game "This dude's incredible," Knox said, via ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg. "It's hard to describe what he does on a consistent basis every single Sunday. I've talked about it before, but sometimes you just turn into a fan. I mean, he threw a chest pass touchdown to Dalton got called back, but he's lifting the ball to guys, making plays with his feet. I'm yelling in my head [for him] to slide, but he's running guys over. It's so much fun to play with that dude. It's really a privilege, and I hope I get to play with him as long as I possibly can."
However, Getzenberg took to X to share that Allen was headed to the X-ray room which left fans wondering if he was doing okay. Allen cleared the air in the post-game press conference and shared, "Just took a funky fall. More peace of mind than anything," Allen said. "Everything checked so I'm good."
Allen went for an x-ray in his right shoulder. As it turns out, Allen landed on his right shoulder after taking a hit to the chest from defensive end Josh Paschal. Plus, he was sort of tackled into the ground by linebackers Ben Niemann and Jack Campbell and went barrelling down on his right shoulder. Allen put fans at ease when he reiterated that he went in for the x-ray just for his peace of mind. "Just a funky feeling," Allen said. "Was able to throw and no pain right now. More precaution than anything."Allen's MVP momentum continues to build as he’s up to 36 total touchdowns and around 3,900 yards of total offense on the year. "Josh is the best player in the league," CB Taron Johnson said. "So having that, it's special because I truly feel like he's unstoppable and having a quarterback like that is extremely helpful for our team."
