Since his college days with the Texas Longhorns, Bijan Robinson has drawn comparisons to San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey. These comparisons bolstered him to secure the 8th overall pick with the Atlanta Falcons in the 2023 NFL Draft. In spring 2024, at a press conference, the 23-year-old three-down running back said he wanted to be used the way the 49ers use versatile McCaffrey. In the 2025 offseason, Robinson reached out to Christian to train together.
