Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Ben Cleveland landed up in trouble after his reckless driving in Milledgeville, Georgia. Ben was arrested on February 12 as he was driving under the influence (DUI). He was highly drunk crossing the legal limit of blood alcohol level to 0.178. The legal limit remains to be 0.08.
According to reports reported by Fox 5 Atlanta, Ben allegedly admitted to drinking “approximately three to four beers”. The incident occurred at 10.25 p.m. on February 12. After the incident, he was taken to the nearby jail for further investigation.

Ben Cleveland lands up into trouble after drinking heavily in the lanes of Georgia

During the interrogation, Cleveland stated two reasons for his condition. He said he was driving under the influence of alcohol and secondly, he failed to maintain the lanes. Hearing his justification, he was later released on a bond of $1,000 early Thursday morning.

His arrest came as a huge trouble at the time when he was at the pick of his career. Reports say Ben was even approaching free agency after his last play in the 2024 season. He played for 17 games. His career seems to be in the corner then and with the legal issue, it seems hard to gear up.

Ben’s arrest draws flak in the surrounding of the University of Georgia’s football program. Going back into the past history of the such incident, in 2023 there was a tragic car crash which took lives of Bulldogs offensive lineman Devin Willock and Chandler LeCroy. The present incident of Ben has triggered the former where more than 25 students have been cited for DUIs.
Reacting to Ben’s arrest Georgia head coach Kirby Smart reacts. Smart publicly acknowledged that strict law and policies should be implemented and disciplinary measures. According to Kirby Smart, these rules shall add discipline measures and curb reckless driving.
With the offseason getting unfold, all eyes are on the Cleveland and Ravens. Some of the biggest question lies with Ben’s arrest hit will it affect the free agency and how hard it is going get with Ben for the NFL?
