When the Super Bowl merges with celebrities, it creates a new dimension for
football and Hollywood fans. It’s where snow meets rain, yet one feels warm. Simply put, the excitement of football combined with the thrill of seeing superstars creates a middle ground of happiness.
That’s what
Ben Affleck from
Good Will Hunting,
Jennifer Aniston and Matt LeBlanc from
Friends, and Jason Alexander from
Seinfeld did when they joined for Dunkin’s Super Bowl LX advertisement teaser. They doubled the excitement for football and Hollywood fans by coming together for an ad.
Ben Affleck pitches to Jennifer Aniston and Matt LeBlanc
Dunkin’ released two clips. One is about a 1995 VHS tape, and the other likely shows reactions to it. In the first one-minute installment, “Golden Cringe,” Affleck tries to spark the curiosity of an unimpressed audience for a mysterious tape he calls “Monster cringe” or “Golden Cringe.”
The
Justice League actor pitches to Aniston, LeBlanc, and Alexander, saying, “Jen, Matt, I got a pitch for ya. What’s old is new, what’s cringe is good, what’s up is down. We’re sitting on a gold mine…
You’re looking at me now like you don’t believe. Studios didn’t believe. Networks didn’t believe. You know who believed? Dunkin’. When I went to go get a coffee, they were selling them. I’m talking about ‘92. Other stores were kicking me out…”
In the second installment, “No Can See This,” Affleck takes out the 1995 VHS tape and patiently waits for the reactions of Aniston, LeBlanc, and Alexander.
All three respond differently.
Alexander wonders if Affleck directed
Argo [which he did]. LeBlanc wants a copy of the tape. Aniston sternly says, “No can one see this.” The
Pearl Harbour actor quietly mummers, "It's only gonna air once." The
Love Happens actress sighs and says, "Oh, God, Matthew."
What was on that tape will be revealed on February 8, 2026, when Dunkin’ airs its full Super Bowl advertisement.
