Antonio Brown was accused of sexual assault by his trainer in 2018, but things changed three years later

Antonio Brown, the former NFL player, has found himself in a number of legal controversies throughout his career. But it seems like the scandals have followed well into Antonio Brown’s retirement from the NFL with his recent shooting allegations. Even though it is believed Antonio Brown is not in the country right now, he has been pretty active on his social media. A few years ago, Antonio Brown was also accused of sexually assaulting his trainer.

Antonio Brown was accused of sexually assaulting his friend turned trainer Britney Taylor, in a hotel room, seven years ago

In 2019, Antonio Brown’s long time friend turned trainer, Britney Taylor, had accused the NFL star of sexually assaulting her and filed a lawsuit against him. But Antonio Brown was not charged with any criminal charges back then.


As per CNN, the lawsuit stated that in May 2018 Antonio Brown and Britney Taylor were driving back to a hotel in Miami with their friends after a night at the club. As they reached the hotel, Britney Taylor used Antonio Brown’s room to go to the restroom and to get some food.

Inside the room, Britney Taylor and Antonio Brown apparently started talking and when she insisted on leaving, the NFL star allegedly sexually assaulted her.

At that time, Britney Taylor had filed a lawsuit against Antonio Brown for sexual battery (rape), battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false imprisonment and invasion of privacy. Antonio Brown had slammed all such allegations against him.

All charges against Antonio Brown were dropped in 2021

However, things changed two years later when in 2021, all charges against Antonio Brown were dropped as he reached a settlement with Britney Taylor, which remains private.

In 2021, as per ESPN, Britney Taylor’s attorney, David Haas, issued a statement that read as, "Antonio and Britney have been friends for over a decade. Several years ago they almost became business partners. Recently, they were involved in aggressive litigation. Having reflected on their relationship, both feel that the time has come to move on. Antonio is grateful for Britney's excellent training assistance….”


While the lawsuit was dropped in 2021, Antonio Brown continued to remain involved in other scandals, including the most recent shooting allegations in Miami.
