Like the NFL staff changes every new season, NFL players, too, get a taste of this medicine. The most indispensable ingredient in any NFL team is coordination. If that’s not there, there’s no point in staying in the same NFL team. As a result, here are the 5 NFL players who may change their NFL squad this coming season:
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins
The joyous trio QB Joe Burrow, WR Tee Higgins, and WR Ja’Marr Chase may or may not be together after March 4, 2025. Higgins’ contract ends, and he becomes a free agent. However, if there’s any extension, Tee Higgins may have a salary of $26.7 million.
New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, AKA ayahuasca retreat lover, took a toll on the Jets and its WR Garrett Wilson. Wilson wasn’t accustomed to losing. He voiced his anger at the end of the season. If the new NFL staff, comprised of HC Aaron Glenn and GM Darren Mougey, can stir things up in the Jets, then maybe WR Wilson would consider a continuance.
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp
Kupp spent most of his time away, almost 18 games in 3 seasons away, because of injuries. For this reason, the Los Angeles Rams are considering to trade WR Cooper Kupp. The Super Bowl LVI winner expressed his utter disregard for this decision. The ball’s in the Rams’ court now. If they do take Kupp in, the Rams might have to pay a salary of $12.5 million to Kupp.
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins
According to the NFL Insider, Adam Schefter, the Falcons are set to release their quarterback, Kirk Cousins, by March 14, 2025. That’s exactly when Cousins might receive a $10 million roster bonus for 2026. The interesting part about this NFL player’s trade is that Kirk Cousins has a no-trade clause, meaning he approves his trade. If Kirk stays with the Falcons, his salary maybe $27.5 million. The Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and San Francisco 49ers have shown interest in Kirk Cousins.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr
The decision to trade quarterback Carr is upon the new head coach, Kellen Moore. But the signal caller, like Kirk Cousins in the Atlanta Falcons, will be Derek Carr. Meaning Derek Carr has a no-trade clause. Carr shared with the world that he would not accept a wage cut. Derek still has two years in his contract, but the new coach is leaving us with no clues.
