NFL teams make significant staff changes for the upcoming season. The Dallas Cowboys introduce Brian Schottenheimer as head coach and welcome Nick Sorensen and Matt Eberflus. The Las Vegas Raiders appoint Pete Carroll as head coach and gain John Spytek and Patrick Graham. Cincinnati Bengals hire Al Golden and Scott Peters.

Now that the season has come to a halt, and there’s only one final mettlesome - the Super Bowl LIX - left, teams all over are making necessary changes in their staff to gear up for the next season with double vigor. For that matter, quite a few switches have happened.
Some wanted to strengthen their offense, some urged to enhance their defense, while some wanted to remove the whole farm of their head coach and bring in a new land. Let’s take a sneak peek at some of those developments, shall we? Just keeping a tab, or else we’re all so buzzed with news every now and then!

Dallas Cowboys welcomes Brian Schottenheimer, Nick Sorensen, and Matt Eberflus

The owner, Jerry Jones, is known to make unpredictable amendments, and some of those include:

Brian Schottenheimer, who was their offensive coordinator, takes the throne of the 10th head coach for the Cowboys after replacing their 5-year-long HC Mike McCarthy. Mike will interview for the HC’s role at Chicago Bears or New Orleans Saints.

Nick Sorensen may be Dallas’ new special teams coordinator. Sorensen was with the San Francisco 49ers as their defensive coordinator. Sorensen will take up the job of John Fassel. John Fassel leaves for the new special teams coordinator role at Tennessee Titans.

Matt Eberflus rejoins the Cowboys as their defensive coordinator. Earlier, he was the linebackers coach at the Cowboys. Before coming to the Cowboys, Eberflus was the DC of the Chicago Bears.

Las Vegas Raiders say hello to Pete Carroll, John Spytek, and Patrick Graham

Las Vegas Owners Mark Davis shared part ownership with NFL legend Tom Brady in October 2024. Tom Brady brought in his infantry.

Former Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll becomes the HC for the Raiders. 73-year-old Pete Carroll replaced Antonia Pierce.

John Spytek becomes the assistant GM for the Raiders after relieving from the assistant GM post at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. John Spytek replaces Tom Telesco, who got fired immediately after HC Antonio Pierce was fired.

Patrick Graham re-enters the Raiders as their defensive coordinator. He was trying his luck at the Jacksonville Jaguars as their head coach, but Liam Coen got that job.

Cincinnati Bengals take in Al Golden and Scott Peters

Mike Brown was in the news for keeping or replacing WR Tee Higgins. But before that decision, here are some decisions that he took steadfastly:

Al Golden comes in from Notre Dame and becomes the defensive coordinator for the Bengals. He was the DC for Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football for three long seasons.

Scott Peters becomes the offensive line coach for the Bengals. He hails from the New England Patriots, where he had the same job profile. Scott Peters takes the place of offensive line coach Frank Pollack.
