PUNE: For the second time this season, Yuvraj Singh played an imperious knock that opened up the game for Punjab. The India left hander braved high fever and throat infection on Monday to play an entertaining knock of 136 in the Group B match against Maharashtra that helped the visitors reach 370 for eight on the second day. They now have a lead of 160 runs.
The 33-year-old had scored a decisive 130 in Punjab's second innings against Haryana in the first round.

His knock at the Gahunje stadium was also impactful he faced just 160 balls during his four-hour innings which contained 25 fours and a six.
"The fever was quite bad, I struggled to sleep last night," he said. "When I went in, we were under pressure and we needed a partnership. I was lucky to get through that tough phase."
