Indian Oil, aided by opener Ravikant Shukla's 48 and veteran Mandar Phadke's unbeaten 48, overcame a shaky start while chasing a modest target of 117 in a Group A match at the MIG CC, Bandra. The hosts were reduced to 14 for three, before the duo added 73 for the fourth wicket to help them win by six wickets.
At the MCA Ground, Kandivli, HPCL scored a thumping 10-wicket win over EIL in a Group B match, thanks to Jay Bishta, who smashed 63 off merely 23 balls.
In another Group B match at the same venue, ONGC, spearheaded by Dhruv Singh's unbeaten 93 off 41 balls, thrashed GAIL by 153 runs. Dhruv was well supported by Taruwar Kohli, who scored a half century and Sandeep Sharma (46, 21 balls).
