MUMBAI: Former cricketer
Vinod Kambli, who was rushed to Lilavati Hospital on Friday due to chest pain, is stable, doctors said on Saturday. Although doctors ruled out a heart attack, the cricketer is still under observation in the intensive care unit (ICU).
Sources in Lilavati Hospital said that Kambli should be fit for discharge on Monday. The 41-year-old former batsman had undergone an angioplasty for blocked arteries in July 2012 at Lilavati Hospital.
On Friday, while driving his vehicle along the city's eastern express highway, he experience intense pain in his chest. A woman constable found him in pain and arranged for him to be rushed to hospital immediately.
